The various options for our wine tastings
- Wine tastings in cooperative cellars.
We have many very high-quality cooperative cellars in our region: Cave de Chardonnay/Lugny, Cave de Mancey, Cave d’Azé, Les Terres secrètes in Solutré, etc. 13 of the 19 cooperative cellars in Burgundy are located in Saône-et-Loire, which says a lot! The welcome is always privileged, the tastings free and the value for money unbeatable.
- Private tastings at wine estates
They are generally free, however, you should remember to call in advance and arrange an appointment with the winegrower. We make appointments for our customers if they wish.
Private tastings at La Cadole de Chardonnay
The wine tasting, hosted by a local partner winemaker and followed by a charcuterie/cheese aperitif board, is €45 per person.
Tastings at wine tourism events
Wine fairs, open houses, wine festivals and major wine events are very frequent and varied in our region, don’t forget to check what is planned for the dates you have chosen to stay with us.
Cave de Chardonnay or Cave de Lugny
- The Chardonnay Cellar and the Lugny Cellar, about 8 kilometers apart, offer the same wines and crémants. The Chardonnay Cellar is open seasonally, while the Lugny Cellar is open all year round.
- In addition to the classic and free tastings that you can do there, the Lugny Cellar offers many events that are always quality and unforgettable experiences. Don’t miss the open houses in Chardonnay or Lugny, which are an unusual spectacle. Event or not, you are always guaranteed impeccable service.
- For bachelorette or bachelor parties, it’s the perfect opportunity, while celebrating them with us, to go choose your wines for the wedding. The excellent value for money of Chardonnay wines and crémants has won over many of our guests.

Vuillemez Père&Fils in Chardonnay
At Vuillemez Pères&Fils in Chardonnay, you can discover wines of remarkable quality and elegance.
There is a true signature, Vuillemez wines are Vuillemez wines.
You must make an appointment in advance via their website for a tasting and cellar tour. We highly recommend this visit!
Château Chardonnay in Chardonnay
At Romain Poncet’s, you will always be very well received because he loves to share his work.
As a little bonus, his father, who has studied the history of Chardonnay extensively, will enhance your visit with lovely snippets of our local history.

Hervé Philippe is a bit of our favorite, let’s admit it. Jean even nicknamed him Panoramix for his taste for always the most natural research possible in the elaboration of his wine.
A simple, natural, welcoming winegrower, always smiling and who communicates his passion for his profession.

Domaine Les Cadoles de Chardonnay in Champvent (Chardonnay)
Nicolas is the first winegrower we worked with when we arrived in Chardonnay. Available, welcoming and always ready, when his schedule allows, to organize a tasting at La Cadole de Chardonnay.
However, we will always advise you to go to the winegrowers because that is where you will see each one’s way of working and the passion that drives them.
Nicolas offers wines that have the typicality of Chardonnay (a balance between fat and acidity, a beautiful minerality, with aromas of pineapple and citrus fruits but also more complex ones of linden, white fruits, with a buttery or honeyed touch) that many of you are looking for and once again in a price range that remains accessible to all.

Domaine Quintefeuille in Lugny
We really like Domaine Quintefeuille. You’ll say I’m repeating myself but it’s logical, these are estates we know well and can vouch for their welcome, passion for the profession and quality of production.
The first words that come to mind for Quintefeuille wines are balance, elegance and finesse.
Our big favorite is the Cuvée Elégance but the entry level is already worth the detour and these are wines that age well kept in good conditions.

Catherine et Eric Giroud in Uchizy
Éric and Catherine Giroud, two lovely personalities, a lot of simplicity, a real kindness.
Jean and I have been convinced since 2018 that the winegrower is in his bottle!
It will probably surprise you but we could almost describe the winegrower and his wine with the same vocabulary.
When I say simple and unpretentious to talk about a wine, it does not mean “low-end” and “table wine” but “honest” and “that keeps its promises”.
Giroud wines are quite varied, it’s up to you to find your favorites!

Cave d’Azé in Azé
The Azé cellar is really worth a visit!
Once again, top-notch welcome, a convivial tasting during which you are not overwhelmed with technical comments.
You are given free rein to your sensations and impressions while answering your questions.
A very wide range of wines, choice, choice and more choice!
Tradition, ancestral knowledge and modernity come together in this cellar where a large place is given to the youngest for the creation of cuvées entrusted to them.
A really very nice value for money by the way.
You will inevitably have favorites at the Azé Cellar. The Note de Ruby chosen by Jean’s eldest daughter for her wedding was a great success for example.
In short, you will have understood, a visit is essential to the Azé Cellar if the time you have allows it.
Good to know: this visit can be combined with the visit of the Azé Caves, where bottles are kept and where tastings accompanied by local products also take place from time to time.

Domaine des Terres Rouges in Azé
We had a real crush on Domaine des Terres Rouges during the Oenogourmandes in Tournus. Since then we have added it to our menu to the delight of our guests.
Jean-Yves and his son Bastien are finalizing a tasting place that promises to be superb!

Domaine François-Xavier Delorme in Plottes
Quite frankly, like many, we love it.
The Domaine’s particularity is to offer Côte-d’Or appellations vinified in Plottes and it is a resounding success.
We greatly appreciate this couple of winegrowers whose generosity is also evident in the welcome of the seasonal workers who come to work for them.

Cave de Mancey in Tournus
The Cave de Vignerons de Mancey is very beautiful to start with, educational and focused on awakening the senses and awareness.
You will find a very wide choice among the wines of the cooperative cellar but also others from all over Burgundy.
Several tasting formulas and educational courses are offered.
The Mancey Cellar has a capacity to accommodate large groups and seminars.
Another visit that we warmly recommend and that our customers of the Gîte de La Pyranvôle almost systematically make.

Domaine Baptiste&Francis Delorme in Plottes and Préty
Simplicity, kindness and generosity!
This defines both these 2 brother winegrowers and their wine.
Light, fruity and easy-drinking whites, reds with red fruit/cherry aromas with a small discreet oak barrel side at the finish.
The pink limestone, sandy soils of Pretty give easy-to-drink wines all in lightness.
Call before for a visit usually in the late afternoon around 6:00 PM.
